Volcano shape

Mt. Pelee is a very interesting volcano. Mt. Pelee is about 4,500 feet tall with a base that covers 39 square miles. It is very conical in shape as well. At the mountains summit there was a bowl -shaped basin containing a clear lake called, the Lac des Palmistes this was known as Mt. Pelees first crater. Mt. Pelees second crater was called L'Etang sec which at one time held a lake. On three sides of the volcano L"Etang sec was shut in by tall cliffs but on the fourth side there was v-shaped notch opening. Mt. Pelee has at least one vent that people know of. Overall Mt. Pelee is a pretty big volcano.
